Grateful for Connection: Reflections on Family, Community, and Growth
The holiday season is upon us!
The world may feel crazier than ever, but there’s a lot to be grateful for.
To me, especially as I get older, the holidays are an importance of the communities we’re closest to - our families.
Regardless of the progress of technology, and one thing that will be constant, is the human desire for connection and community.
As American psychologist Dean Ornish said:
"The need for connection and community is primal, as fundamental as the need for air, water, and food."

This Thanksgiving, I was lucky to have my twin brother, Vig Siva host my parents.
He just had his second kid so Thanksgiving was filled with brushing up on emerging uncle skills and observing just how hard, but most importantly gratifying, building a family is for him and his wife.
I’m grateful to have a happy, healthy family - a the opportunities to spend quality time with parents and loved one go down, it’s clear that those are the most important life moments.
At Marco, we’re grateful to contribute to something bigger: helping companies connect their employees during their most important moments together — a sentiment that feels especially meaningful during the holiday season.
It hasn’t been an easy journey.
We’ve pivoted the company over the past year to fully focus on building a platform to power group travel at scale, from a virtual and in-person group experiences marketplace launched during COVID.
Our true north during the past few years has always been: what is the most impactful way we can connect teams in a world where it’s become more challenging.
The outcome, to play a small part in helping companies build their own unique cultures and allow team members to do their best work, continues to be one that helps our team get out of bed each morning and give it our all.
Cheers to everyone finishing off the year strong, and starting off 2025 strong!
